CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Biesse recently welcomed distributors from across North America to the 2018 Dealer Academy at the company’s world headquarters in Pesaro, Italy.

The aim of this five-day event was to offer dealers a platform for continuous training from Biesse product specialists. Dealers received comprehensive training on the company’s range of CNC machines, edgebanders, sanders and panel saws along with factory tours for each product category.

“Distributors play an integral part in Biesse’s success as a company,” said Biesse vice president of sales Mike Johnson. “We’re committed to providing them with the highest level of training and educational opportunities. The Dealer Academy is a perfect example of that with a full week of giving dealers the tools they need to succeed including the sharing of best practices designed to grow business.”

Distributors also witnessed first-hand Sophia, Biesse’s IoT app and cloud-based software management tool that is designed to help users achieve higher productivity by providing them with an easy-to-use dashboard containing real-time visibility of machine status, performance and functionality. Remote diagnostics, machine stoppage analysis and fault prevention are among Sophia’s features.
