A full-day Finishing Symposium prior to the AWFS Fair emphasizes best practices in finishing, plus a variety of new finishing technologies and materials, with an opportunity to talk to suppliers and finishing experts face-to-face.

 

Presented by Woodworking Network’s Red Book Best Practices Guide, the event will include a discussion on how to organize a finishing department program, and set up ways to measure a company’s finishing performance, along with new methods of training and establishing formal mixing systems and formulas.

 

It will include a look at problem-solving in spraying and finish application, finish quality, and finish process issues, and presentations on finishes that many shops have not yet adopted. It is moderated by Woodworking Network's Karl Forth.
