Contour Panel Components manager, Scout Anderson, has died

DENTON, Texas — Scout Anderson, the general manager of Contour Panel Components and member of the woodworking and home organization community, died on June 21 following an accident with a drunk driver. He was 28.

Originally from The Colony, Texas, Anderson began his career in 2016 working construction with a local company, AG3 Building Solutions. Shortly after, Anderson transitioned to a leadership position in the closet industry with Contour Panel and Builder Closets, a Dallas-based company that supplies various builders and home organization & storage businesses.

Anderson and his wife, Demi, married on May 24, 2025, and were expecting parents. The couple was eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child, a daughter, expected in November. Across social media, friends and family have expressed profound grief over his passing, remembering Scout as a beacon of positivity and commitment in all facets of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Demi Anderson, their unborn daughter, and fur baby, Sadie, of Frisco, Texas; parents, Michael Anderson of Whitesboro, Texas, Kathy Hanna and husband, John of Frisco, Texas and; three brothers, Blake Anderson and wife, Katherine of Aubrey, Texas, Lance Anderson of Frisco, Texas and Stone Anderson of Frisco, Texas; grandparents, Dennis and Louise Scully of New Baltimore, Michigan and Barbara Anderson of Lawton, Oklahoma; niece, Evelyn Anderson of Aubrey, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Scout was preceded in death by his grandfather, Albert Anderson and father-in-law, Leslie Sisson, Sr.

John Hanna, the owner of Contour Panel Components and Builder Closets, reflected on Scout's impact in a LinkedIn post, stating, "Scout was not only a dedicated leader but also a friend to many. His absence is deeply felt by all of us. Any contributions towards funeral arrangements and living expenses for Demi and their baby girl during this challenging period would be greatly appreciated." As Hanna's stepson, Scout played a pivotal role in the company's achievements, earning admiration from both colleagues and clients.

Rhonda Ray from The Closet Design Firm recalled, "I adored Scout! He made my work delightful, always exuding cheerfulness and meticulously ensuring everything was flawless for my clients. This tragic loss is unfathomable. My heart aches for his mother, family, dear wife, and unborn child. May the Lord fulfill all their needs during his absence. I will forever cherish how he made my transition as a new business owner such a pleasant journey. Things won't be the same without him. He was truly exceptional and will be deeply missed."

Manish Patel from Coffee in the Closet shared, "I collaborated with Scout for more than two years. He was a reliable and steadfast individual, both professionally and personally. His absence will be profoundly felt."

Carlissa and Joe Montoya of TORO Garage Co. remembered Scout as "an old soul—wise and down-to-earth. His warm smile and optimism made you feel valued. We will always remember Scout for his smile and kindness. He had such a light about him.”

"Scout's unexpected departure has left a significant void in the lives of those who knew him," says Carlissa Montoya of CM Closet Design. "Not only was he a trusted professional, but also the kind of friend everyone wishes for - genuine, compassionate, and unwaveringly supportive."

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
