Biesse to host two-day event featuring cabinet, closet door production

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Biesse is set to host Material Days, a two-day event on April 22 - 23 in their Charlotte Campus facility featuring seminars, industry experts and a full showroom of machines. Attendees at the event will encounter live demonstrations of manufacturing solutions, exchange ideas and experience how Biesse's technology can simplify production processes.

Event overview:

Day 1 

Cabinet door production including MDF, five-piece thermofoil/laminate, and solid wood manufacturing processes, efficient workflows, scalability, and cost considerations for growing operations.

Seminars:

Derek Asbury from Asbury Millwork will cover design trends, the value of producing doors in-house, and the coatings that define quality and durability.

Materials & Edgebanding Leading industry suppliers Eggers/Uniboard will present the latest offerings for edgebanding and the discuss the performance and cost of PUR and Airforce edgebanding technologies.

Live production experiences:

Experience each stage of cabinet and closet door production including precision machining, edgebanding and sanding.

  • Five-Piece Laminate & Slab Doors cut-to-size, edgebanding, grooving, doweling, assembly, and finishing.
  • Five-Piece Solid Wood Doors from design file to finished product.
  • MDF Doors multiple options for CNC machining of single piece MDF doors, complete sanding processes from brushing solutions for edge break, robotic sanding for center panel and final brush solutions for primer coat sanding for premier quality finishing.
  • Slab Doors (High-End European Style) clean, modern production techniques for premium Euro kitchen designs.
