SAN DIEGO – Sugatsune says its new MFU1200 Flush Sliding Door System creates a “wow moment every time” it is opened to reveal what is hidden behind.
The door system will be displayed at the 2022 Closets Expo, April 28-29 at the San Diego Convention Center. The show is co-located with the inaugural Wood Pro Expo California.
Sugatsune explains that the door slides open by pushing it inwards with a sideways motion and quietly closes by pulling the door to disappear into the surrounding walls.
The MFU1200’s two-way soft closing feature has been tested for 100,000 cycles. It is designed to operate doors up to 106-5/16” (2,700 mm) tall, 47-1/4” (1,200 mm) wide, and weighing up to 154 lbs (70 kg). It can be used for custom wine cellars, walk-in closets, or hidden rooms. The system is also a solution for spaces that will not accommodate a traditional swinging door.
