MILWAUKEE -- TKO Miller has announced the successful sale of De Pere Cabinet Inc. (DCI), a family-owned cabinetry manufacturer.
Based in De Pere, Wisconsin, DCI is a manufacturer of modular, semi-custom framed cabinetry for diverse uses in single-family residences. De Pere Cabinet’s Countryside Cabinets brand provides custom capabilities at an affordable price. Founded in 1975, the company has been owned and operated by the Burkard family of De Pere. Throughout its history, the company has built a loyal following among distributors and kitchen and bath dealers throughout the Midwest.
The acquirer, Wellborn Forest, a portfolio company of HCI Equity Partners based in Washington D.C., is a manufacturer of semi-custom framed cabinets serving the single-family residential market. Wellborn Forest is based in Alexander City, Alabama, and its core geography is in the Southeastern and Eastern United States. HCI also owns Regent Cabinets based in Lakewood, New Jersey. Wellborn Forest is an FDMC 300 company.
De Pere Cabinet, Inc.’s product has been positioned in the market as a semi-custom cabinet. The product is manufactured in a 118,000 square foot building with state of the art flat line finish systems. Currently the company employs over 200 skilled laborers in De Pere.. The company has a dedicated delivery system for cabinets throughout Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin.
