MasterBrand Cabinets Consolidates Operations, Adds Jobs in NC

LEXINGTON, NC - MasterBrand Cabinets' $3.5 million purchase of a 137,095-square-foot facility in Lexington, NC,  is part of the cabinet giant's plan to consolidate three operations in the area.

According to the Triad Business Journal, MasterBrand will begin production of cabinet doors and drawers at the plant in October. By spring, operations at three other buildings in Davidson County will move over, along with 140 employees. The news source reported that MasterBrand also will add 38 workers and invest $8 million in equipment upgrades.

The company's commitment to create 38 jobs is part of a $750,000 grant MasterBrand received from the City of Lexington for the reuse, renovation and equipping of the vacant building.

Part of Fortune Brands Home & Security (NYSE:FBHS), MasterBrand Cabinets includes the brands: Aristokraft Cabinetry, Norcraft Cos., Schrock Cabinetry, Homecrest Cabinetry, Omega Cabinetry, Dynasty by Omega, KitchenCraft Cabinetry, Decora, Kemper Distinctive Cabinetry, Cabinetry by Diamond and Wood Crafters.
