KCMA survey reports February cabinet sales gain

RESTON, Va. -- According to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s monthly Trend of Business Survey, participating cabinet manufacturers reported an increase in cabinet sales of 1.8 percent for February 2018 compared to the same month in 2017. Stock sales were up 1.6 percent; semi-custom sales decreased 0.4 percent; and custom sales increased 11.3 percent compared to 2017.

Year-to-date cabinetry sales through February 2018 are down 0.6 percent according to participating manufacturers. Stock sales decreased 1.6 percent; semi-custom increased slightly at 0.6 percent; and custom sales are down 0.6 percent so far this year.

Survey participants include stock, semi-custom, and custom companies whose combined sales represent approximately 70 percent of the U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market. All major U.S. cabinet manufacturing companies belong to KCMA. Sixty-three percent of KCMA cabinet manufacturer members report sales below $10 million annually. See http://kcma.org.
