New AWFS Fair Live connects show attendees

ANAHEIM, Calif. – AWFS Fair Live is a new feature at the AWFS Fair July 17-20, and will offer presentations and sessions throughout the show. Located in booth #9784, all sessions are complimentary and are open to all registered AWFS Fair attendees.

Rapid Fire sessions are fast-paced 15-minute presentations offered by AWFS Fair exhibitors, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and each day will focus on a different theme. On Wednesday, learn about software from Allmoxy, Closet Pro, Alphacam, ACSP, and Crow’s Nest. Thursday presentations will focus on hardware with Ovvo, Kessebohmer, Lockdowel, TrueLAM Doors, and Blum. On Friday, join these exhibitors to learn about Industry 4.0: Stiles, 2020, Superfici America, Weinig, and CNC Factory. The Education Town Hall will take place on Saturday, July 20 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. It will be presented in PechaKucha 20x20 format. Each presenter will have only 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide, creating a speedy and engaging presentation. This is an opportunity to learn about nearly a dozen post-secondary woodworking programs throughout the U.S. including The MiLL, Madison College, Pittsburg State, Cerritos College, and several others. Attendees will learn about the program’s focus, courses offered, facility and equipment, student case studies, career pathways and more. In the mornings, Fine Woodworking will run in-depth 90-minute education sessions at AWFS Fair Live. Owain Harris, owner of O.H.H. Cabinetmaker will speak on “Integrating CNC Technology into the Small Furniture Shop” on Wednesday and Thursday. Roland Johnson will cover “Coloring Wood” on Wednesday and Friday mornings. Tom McLaughlin will present “Ten Ways to Distinguish and Add Value to Your Work” on Thursday and Friday mornings.
