Finalists chosen for AWFS Fair's Fresh Wood student competition

The Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers (AWFS) announced that the Fresh Wood student woodworking competition has selected its finalists to compete at the 2025 AWFS Fair in Las Vegas.

The finalists' names and the projects were not released.

Fresh Wood is celebrating its 13th anniversary, having debuted in 1999. Students from across the nation entered and finalists come from both high school and post-secondary woodworking programs.

This year’s competition will feature pieces in five categories: Seating, Tables, Case Goods, Design for Production, and Open. Sixteen schools are represented.

Finalists will be judged by experts from the wood industry, and prizes will be awarded at a ceremony on Thursday, July 24, on the AWFS Fair Live Stage.

All finalist entries will be showcased in the Fresh Wood exhibit in booth #3873.

Attendees of the AWFS Fair will have the chance to vote for their favorite and select the winner of the People’s Choice award.
