Davis Furniture acquires former Woodmark site, plans major expansion

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Davis Furniture has acquired the former Woodmark Furniture property in High Point for approximately $1.45 million to expand its campus. The 124,000-square-foot facility, previously occupied by Woodmark Furniture, a subsidiary of Howard Miller Co., which closed in 2025, adjacent to its current location, will be renovated to house manufacturing and warehouse functions.

Hall of Fame considering lawsuit to protect brand, award

HIGH POINT, N.C. — The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame is considering legal action against the International Textile Alliance (ITA) and Interwoven, the trade show it hosts for textiles used in home furnishings, for their plans to launch a Textiles Hall of Fame.Beginning in 2026, ITA's website says it will recognize the "visionaries, innovators and champions" with induction into a hall of fame to be presented during the spring edition of the Interwoven Textile Fair in High Point, North Carolina, May 19-21.
