Residential furniture orders rose 4% in February compared to the year prior, and 1% higher than January orders, according to the latest Furniture Insights survey of residential furniture manufacturers and distributors from Smith Leonard. New orders were up for two-thirds of the surveyed participants.

Largest dowel laminated timber plant underway

AkzoNobel outlines plan to thwart PPG takeover
Dutch coatings manufacturer AkzoNobel on Wednesday detailed plans to separate its Specialty Chemicals business as part of a strategy to fend off a multi-billion dollar takeover bid by rival PPG Industries. American hardwoods form unique display at interzum
