Sebastien DesMarais has been named president of the Architectural Woodwork Institute.

Sebastien DesMarais of Hollywood Woodwork, Inc. has been named president of the Architectural Woodwork Institute.

Hollywood Woodwork is an employee-owned architectural millwork company based in Hollywood, Florida.  DesMarais succeeded 2020 AWI president Tyler Cerny. He is the 66th AWI president, starting a one-year term on Jan. 1, 2021.

Sebastien has been associated with Hollywood Woodwork for 10 years. He joined the firm in 2010 as CFO and in 2015 became the company’s fourth president. His father Yves was president of AWI in 1994/1995.

As the chair of AWI’s Financial Management Team, Sebastien has lectured extensively at AWI conventions, conferences and financial management seminars. In 2015, he was elected to AWI’s board of directors and in 2016 became an officer of AWI, including stints as treasurer. In 2020 Sebastien began serving as AWI president-elect, and in 2021 is elevated to AWI’s presidency.
