More wood in the dining and sunroom.

Hi all,

I could use your help on what type of wood to use for  my kitchen. It has [to have] less visible grain/knots than pine.

Also, a type of wood that could achieve a (close to) stain to match existing stained paneling in my 1952 home. I want to keep all the paneling that hasn’t been painted white by P.O. [previous owner].

I’m not afraid of this red/orangey color for base cabinets. I want to keep the yesteryear in here with a slight twist.

Thank you!!!
