Weinig Group and Friulmac Partner to Create New Work Cell

HICKORY, NC -- The Weinig Group and Friulmac have introduced a work cell to produce up to 1,500 custom cabinet doors per shift with substantial reduction in labor cost, says the two companies. The Weinig Dimter S90 saw cuts the stiles and rails to length. The rails are then automatically transferred to the Friulmac T-Rex for custom end profiling and then meet up with the stiles at the end of the work cell. Change-over’s is managed by the MillVision Pro software.

KI Opens Mexico City Showroom

GREEN BAY, WI – KI recently opened a new showroom in Espacio Inteligente de Mexico, Mexico City. Guests toured the 3,300-square-foot facility, which houses all of the company’s major product lines. According to the company, Mexico City represents a key growth opportunity. In 2006, KI posted a 160% annual sales increase from its business, healthcare and education clients in the metropolitan area.

Kimball Office Selects New Southern KY Dealer

JASPER, IN – Kimball Office, a unit of Kimball International, has selected The Banker’s Store, which provides equipment and services to financial institutions, as an authorized dealer, according to Business Wire.
