Ashley Furniture adds solar energy systems to 10 largest plants

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Ashley Furniture, number 1 on the FDMC 300, is investing in solar energy installations at ten of its largest U.S. manufacturing facilities. Construction at its Romeoville, Illinois plant began this week.
 
“We need a lot of energy to manufacture our products and it only makes sense to use renewable sources,” said Ron Wanek, Founder and Chairman, Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc.

SAN JOSE -- The 15th edition of the Executive Briefing Conference (April 14-16) drew more than 150 attendees who took in two and a half days of keynotes, panel discussions, tours and networking.  Tim Fixmer, CEO and president of CCI Media and Woodworking Network, which acquired the EBC from Stiles Machinery in 2018,  said the event has been getting great reviews from the attendees, and creating momentum for 2020.  "In our surveys attendees have told us they were pleased with the the quality of the conference sessions and tours," said Fixmer.
