Gloss control technology

Miltec UV says its HPI UV System with leading-edge Gloss Control technology enables manufacturers to achieve a wide gloss range using a single UV coating. The system is capable of producing low, medium, and high gloss levels as well as storing recipes to allow for quick lamp adjustments. The company says it features increased cure speed compared to other UV systems and it will achieve cost savings, reduced downtime, less energy and parts consumption, fewer coating formulas, and improved quality and consistency.

Button-Fix offers metal version

Buttonfix now offers its Type 1 button-fix in a metal option with both the button and the fix being diecast in ZL2 zinc alloy. In addition to retaining all the benefits of the composite polymer versions, the metal button-fix is compliant for use with fire-retardant panels. It can connect parallel panels, be surface-mounted or semi-rebated into a panel, and orientated for vertical or sideways assembly. Also, it features a 316-stainless-steel spring, which allows for use in applications where vibration may be an issue.

LINDSTROM, Minn. – Registration is now open for the Wood Component Manufacturers Association’s 2019 One-Day Regional Plant Tour Event. The WCMA is partnering with Eagle Machinery & Supply Inc. to host the event, to be held June 20-21 in Lexington, Kentucky. The event includes tours of a state-of-the-art wholesale manufacturing facility, as well as a tour of one of Kentucky’s oldest and smallest distilleries. This event gives attendees an opportunity to see advanced machinery in action, and network with others in the industry.
