Lexington Manufacturing, Minneapolis, MN — An OEM supplier of components to manufacturers of residential windows and commercial architectural doors, Lexington’s sales grew 34.2% in 2012, due in part to the company’s ability to lean its production. “In our commercial door division we combined two plants in order to reduce overhead and streamline operations,” says Bill DeWitt, account manager.

Plans for 2013 include the purchasing of additional automated material handling and stacking equipment. The company will also focus on “Continued diligence in monitoring our capital and labor expenditures during these volatile economic times,” he adds.

Lexington employs 130 people and has more than 300,000-square-feet of combined manufacturing space at its two facilities: Wood Components Design and Manufacturing facility and its Window & Patio Door Components Design and Manufacturing facility. A sustainable manufacturer, Lexington is an FSC-certified company.

Its core competencies include custom design and profile wrapping of solid and composite material, automated lineal processing of non-ferrous materials, and RF gluing and laminating of lineal components. In addition, Lexington also produces Timberstrand structural furniture and millwork stairway components.
