Italian Woodworking Machinery Association Announces 2015 Plans

MILAN – The Italian woodworking machinery and tools manufacturers association, Acimall, announced plans for promotional events in 2015. The association says the events were chosen to support the woodworking and furniture manufacturing industries in markets offering the best opportunities:

The events include Woodex in Teheran, Iran, February 1 – 4; Delhiwood in New Delhi, India, February 4 – 7; Interzum Guangzhou in  Guangzhou, China, March 28 – April 1; Ligna in Hannover, Germany, May 11 – 15; Woodworking in Minsk, Belarus, October; and Woodex in Moscow, Russia, November 24 – 27.

The association plans to adjust features and initiatives based on the needs of each destination market. Services offered by show organizers, the association says, will allow exhibiting companies to place more focus on their own offerings.

Support services include an “Import partner search,” which allows officials to identify and select local companies to represent Italian technology in their own markets.

Dario Corbetta, director of Cepra-Centro promozionale Acimall, says the organization is encouraged to design new strategies and identify new tools which will support the globalization of Italian woodworking machinery businesses.

Analysts for Acimall are also visiting Morocco, Algeria and Cuba to investigate potential opportunities.
