The Powermatic PM2800B 18” Stationary Drill Press features a 6” quill travel operated with a single revolution of the handle. The drill press has two LED lights that provide shadow-free viewing of the work area, says the company, and twin lasers that provide the drill bit’s exact location before it enters a workpiece. The handwheel controls the variable speed system allowing the user to run the full range of speeds without having to reposition belts. The PM2800B’s front panel digital readout monitors spindle speeds from 250 rpm to 3000 rpm. The spindle has a 6” range of travel with a maximum distance to the table of 25-1/2”. The spindle distance to the base is 45”. The drill press has a swing of 18”. This Drill Press has a 20”L x 14”W cast iron table and an easy to use fence with two cam locks to secure it as well as an adjustable material stop to set up repetitive cuts, says Powermatic.  The work table can be raised or lowered through rack and pinion to accommodate the height of the work piece and also bevels from 0-90°.
