The Powermatic PM1500 15” Bandsaw features bigger-than-average resaw capacity, a fully adjustable fence, multi-step blade tensioning, precision guide and thrust bearings and heavy duty steel and cast iron construction throughout, says the company. It has 14” of resaw height and 14½” of blade-to-frame width and can be used to resaw and rip lumber to size, cut curves for cabinetry or furniture making, create decorative scrollwork and cut joints such as tenons and dovetails. The bandsaw weighs 394 lbs. with a sturdy cast iron table and trunnion assembly, which provides maximum rigidity for heavy work pieces, says the company. Steel cabinet doors feature metal rotating cam locks. Overall dimensions of the saw are 30 1/4” long by 34 3/8” wide by 80 ¼” high with a 21 ½” by 16” cast iron table that tilts 45 degrees to the right and 10 degrees to the left via a cast-iron hand wheel. The bandsaw has a 3HP, 1PH, 230V motor. Power is transmitted to the drive pulley system via a Poly-V belt, delivering a blade speed of 3100 SFPM.
