Cefla says the Prima reciprocating spray system for water or solvent-based coatings easily fits into existing operations and has an affordable price point. With its one-arm spray action, Prima can handle up to 7500 square feet of material per eight-hour shift and panels up to 1300mm wide, with variable conveyor speeds from 1-3 meters per minute. The system features up to four spray guns and eliminates overspray on the underside of panels. Prima includes an integrated, intuitive 12-inch color touchscreen control panel and an automated part detection system, which the company says communicates panel size and position while enhancing production speed and reducing coatings waste. Cefla says the Prima is a good fit for fabricators considering an upgrade from manual to automated finishing, and works well in a one or two-manned work cell.
