Hitachi introduces the DV18DBL Brushless Hammer Drill featuring 654 in-lbs. of turning torque. The metal ½” ratcheting keyless chuck includes carbide inserts for secure bit retention. The 22-stage clutch provides 22 torque settings, a hammer setting and a drill setting, controlled by a clutch ring. The Digital Control Panel includes an electronic power control switch, which allows the user to select from 4 micro-processor controlled settings and eight different speed / power calibrations. Features include an LED light that points upwards from the base of the tool to illuminate the bit tip and avoid casting shadows and a level indicator, which checks the amount of power remaining in the battery pack. The drill is 8.1” long and weighs 4.8 lbs., which helps reduce fatigue in extended or overhead use applications, says the company. Included are two 3.0Ah Lithium Ion Slide Type batteries, a quick charger, side handle, carrying case and double sided Phillips driver bit.
