Richelieu Profit Edges Higher, Stock Slips

TORONTO, ON — Richelieu Hardware reported a slightly better second-quarter profit on Monday that missed estimates, but was boosted by growing sales in the United States and acquisitions on both sides of the border, according to Reuters. The Montreal, ON-based company said sales increased 13.4 % to $101.14 million, boosted by a near-doubling of sales to the United States to $21.12 million in the quarter.

Teknion"s 2Q Sales Drop

TORONTO – Office furniture manufacturer Teknion Corp. announced the results for its second quarter 2007, which ended May 31. Sales for the quarter increased by 1% to $165.7 million, compared to $164.4 million for the same quarter last year. Net earnings for the quarter, however, were $150,000, compared to $5.8 million in the same period last year.
