In her new role, Bradford will oversee the publication cycle of both publications, while continuing to write and edit features. Universal Forest Products Signs Kasey Kahne as Pitchman

GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Universal Forest Products (UFP), a manufacturer and distributor of wood and wood-alternative products, has hired NASCAR's Kasey Kahne to help pitch one of its products, Open Joist, a floor joist system, according to The Grand Rapids Press. Kahne is expected to appear in a series of UFP advertisements, which will run mostly in trade magazines.

WINDSOR, ON – Delcam, a manufacturer of computer-aided manufacturing software, has consolidated its structure in North America to create a single sales organization for its product ranges. Glenn McMinn has been appointed president of Delcam North America. Prince Edward Island Looks to Wood Power

CHARLOTTESTOWN, PEI – Negotiations are underway to create a power plant that would convert dead branches and tree bark into energy. Officials of Prince Edward Island are talking with New Phase Power of Alberta to locate the co-generation plant in a former fabrication yard in Borden-Carleton. The <I>Chronicle Herald<I> quoted Energy Minister James Ballem as saying, "We see it as another step toward our goal of having 30 percent of our energy from sustainable sources by 2016."
