Google and HomeAdvisor Partner in Home Improvement Services

HomeAdvisor scored a partnership with Google for finding cabinet makers, closet designers and other home improvement and services firms. HomeAdvisor's Instant Booking for homeowners searching for local service pros online is the latest entry in a heated competition that includes Facebook-Pro.com, Lowe's-Porch.com,Home Depot-Red Beacon, along with freestanding entries including Amazon Home Services, Angie's List, and Houzz.

American Woodmark Cabinets Adds New Board Member from Lennox

WINCHESTER, VA - American Woodmark Corporation (NASDAQ: AMWD) named David W. Moon of Lennox International, Inc. to its board of directors.
 
Moon serves as the Executive Vice President and President and Chief Operating Officer of Lennox International, Inc.'s Worldwide Refrigeration Segment, which serves heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration markets. Moon joined Lennox International, Inc. in 1998. Prior to that, he held various management positions with Allied Signal, Inc., Case Corporation, and Tenneco Inc.

Masonite, Door Sales Up 5.4%, Is Flat On Exchange Rate

Door manufacturer Masonite International (NYSE: DOOR) sales were flat at $475.7 million for the third quarter of 2015, a result of an unfavorable exchange rate. Excluding the $26 million negative impact of foreign exchange, net sales would have increased by 5.4% to $501.7 million. Masonite reported a loss of $16.3 million after selling a French subsidiary.
