Woodgrain names distribution division president

Matt Aemmer

FRUITLAND, Idaho — Woodgrain, a manufacturer and distributor of millwork and building materials, has promoted Matt Aemmer to president of the distribution division effective the end of July. 

In his new role, Aemmer will oversee strategic operations and drive performance across the distribution division, "bringing visionary leadership, operational expertise, and a strong track record of success to the position," the company said.

Since joining Woodgrain in 2007, Aemmer has played a key role in expanding new markets and developing high-performing teams. With more than 24 years of industry experience, he has held sales leadership roles across multiple regions and at the national level. He has led operations as a general manager and, most recently, served as Central Region Vice President. Aemmer lives near Atlanta with his wife, Becky, and their two children.

“Matt has been a driving force behind our regional and divisional growth and has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, deep market insight, and a relentless focus on our customers,” said incoming Woodgrain CEO Todd Dame. “We are thrilled to see him step into this expanded leadership role.”

This promotion reflects Woodgrain’s ongoing commitment to leadership development and its strategy to strengthen operational excellence across all divisions. Aemmer's promotion is the latest such action. Other hires include naming of Todd Dame, who will assume the role of CEO of Woodgrain by September of 2025, and the promotion of Steve Prado to vice president for the Southwest region of the company's distribution division, and 

Woodgrain is an FDMC 300 listed company, ranking #8 on the list.
