HOLSTEIN, Iowa - VT Industries Inc. has acquired rival door and millwork manufacturer Eggers Industries. Eggers has manufacturing divisions in Two Rivers and Neenah, Wisconsin, which produce architectural flush doors, stile and rail doors, door frames, veneered plywood panels, ceiling tiles, and custom veneered components for high-profile commercial projects.

Announced Oct. 2, the terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.  The "Eggers Collection" will be part of the VT portfolio effective immediately.

Headquartered in Holstein, Iowa, VT Industries manufactures architectural wood doors, VT Dimensions countertops, and A'vant Vanity Surfaces. The company serves customers from 14 facilities strategically located throughout the U.S. and Canada. The Eggers line of products are also sold throughout North America.

Eggers currently employs 410 people at its locations, according to a Fox11 News report. This will drive the number of VT employees to 2,000. Both companies were ranked in the latest report of the FDMC 300, a listing of the top wood products manufacturers in North America.
