Ori's robotic Cloud Bed combines bed and desk in the same space
Robotic cloud bed

In one form, the Cloud Bed from Ori is a working desk and table beneath a lofted bed. But with the push of a button, the bed descends and the desk folds into the floor and out of sight.

“Now more than ever we need our living spaces to better accommodate our many needs for working, sleeping, and living. Ori’s new Cloud Bed, table edition makes the limited square feet of our spaces more usable and flexible,” said Hasier Larrea, founder and CEO of Ori.

The Cloud Bed allows for a bedroom and a dining space or home office to occupy the same space.

The wooden furniture requires a minimum 8'6" ceiling height. The bed comes in either Queen or King sizes. The table seats up to five people.

The system comes with storage space, three outlets, voice and phone controls, and dimmable LED lights.

The Cloud Bed, Table Edition also comes outfitted with storage space, three outlets, voice and phone controls, as well as dimmable LED lights.

A simple button push switches between forms. Users can opt for a schedule instead - the bed can lower at the end of the workday, for example.

Ori is based on the Japanese word origami which means "to fold."
