TORRANCE, Calif. – Doug Mockett & Company announced winners of its 36th annual design competition. According to the company, the contest seeks the best innovative ideas in furniture parts, components, accessories, and hardware.

Winning designs:

Desk Hook by Jake Gillespie:
This hook is the first of its kind. It is two parts - the hook itself and a screw-on clamp that allows it to flow in and out beneath the surface. It slides out when needed to hang purses, backpacks, etc., and slides back under the surface and out of sight when not in use.

Towel Hook by Sebastian Bartlett:
This unique design has an art deco look. Three sleek aluminum sheets bending out ever so slightly from a welded joint combining beauty and function seamlessly. The company says it has already begun printing some 3D models and planning to bring this hook to market as soon as possible.
