TOLLESON, Ariz. — Legends Furniture’s $4 million plant expansion is expected to improve the manufacture and distribution of its residential furniture products, while enabling the firm to increase the capacity of its product lines.

Scheduled for completion in September, the expansion will add 235,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space, almost double the size of the current facility. Furniture Today  reported the project's scope also includes the purchase of new finishing lines and wood processing machinery.

Founded in 1990, the Arizona-based firm manufactures home entertainment, occasional, bedroom and home office furniture domestically, while also importing lines from Southern China and Malaysia. Approximately 60 percent of its products are manufactured domestically and 40 percent are imported, FT reports.
