The Ethan Allen design studio in Syracuse, New York, works with consumers, builders, architects and private designers.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Ethan Allen recently celebrated two years serving Syracuse and surrounding communities in its studio off Erie Boulevard in Marshall's Plaza.

After the corporately owned store in Fayetteville closed during the pandemic, Jared Roth, third generation owner of R & G Furniture dba Ethan Allen, seized the opportunity to serve this community again. So successful was the relaunch, Roth opened another Ethan Allen design studio in Pittsford, New York, earlier this year.

Ariel Borek, the studio manager who joined R & G after six years at Ethan Allen corporate, said the Syracuse store has worked with more than 430 clients in its first two years.

Borek and Caroline Sussman, lead designer, help customers choose the right Ethan Allen furniture, plus other interior décor including rugs, lighting, wood and laminate flooring, custom window treatments, and wallpaper. In addition to working directly with consumers, they also collaborate with builders, architects and private designers.

Ethan Allen, No. 33 in the FDMC 300, operates approximately 170 retail stores throughout the United States.
