HIGH POINT - Office furniture maker Davis Furniture has invested $6.5 million to build a new 50,000-square-foot warehouse and office building to free up more space on its 25-acre campus in High Point, North Carolina.

Davis will relocate 26 employees from its nearby 5,000-square-foot corporate office to work at the new facility, which features 16,000 square feet of office space. The rest of the space will serve as a showroom for the company's wide array of customers, writes HPE News.

The 75-year-old company has recently grown to employ around 260. Once the expansion is completed by summer 2020, Davis will have around 450,000 square feet of space at its High Point campus.

Founded in 1944, Davis is a family-owned manufacturer of contemporary business furniture for the corporate, hospitality, healthcare, and educational markets. The company also has showrooms in Chicago, New York, and Washington D.C.
