CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The 2017 Best in Wood Awards, sponsored by Woodworking Network, is set to launch June 19.
The contest is given annually to celebrate custom woodworkers for their outstanding craftsmanship.
The contest honors custom woodworkers in seven categories:
1.) residential furniture, freestanding;
2.) residential furniture, built-in;
3.) architectural millwork;
4.) commercial/institutional;
5.) kitchen/bath cabinets;
6.) countertop/solid surface, and
7.) specialty products
Award winners will be celebrated at an awards reception during the 2017 Wood Pro Expo, which takes place October 19-20, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
“It's the rare chance to be at a peer event that celebrates the craft,” said Bill Esler, Conference Director, Woodworking Network. “We’re excited at the opportunity to gather the best of the best in the industry at the first-ever Best in Wood Awards reception.”
Winners will have the chance to participate in a photo op and will be featured in FDMC magazine and on Woodworking Network’s social media platforms.
