We no longer consider ourselves simply a magazine. Wood & Wood Products is, in fact, part of a multimedia network, incorporating the publication, Web site, comprehensive resource directory, events and conferences, research and digital marketing services.
Not content to rest on our laurels, we’ve made changes throughout our network of products to better provide you with the information and services you require.
We’re new and improved for 2010. Take a look at what we have to offer.
New Web Site Launch: WoodworkingNetwork.com
We were the first industry publication to host a Web site — and we continue to be at the forefront. Launching this month is WoodworkingNetwork.com, the industry’s only professional woodworking site that is updated daily with breaking news and information, plus a full selection of feature stories, business strategies for shops of all sizes, new products, videos and exclusive coverage from industry events.
The site offers enhanced features, including a special section on “What’s New,” daily blog updates, and easy-to-navigate links to new products, industry events and more.
Check it out. For the first 12 days the site is live, everyone who registers will be entered in a drawing to win one of four prizes from the following sponsors: Laguna, Rockler Woodworking, Stiles Machinery and Vortex Tool. Keep watch for additional details in our biweekly newsletters.
The new Web site is the hub of our network and provides direct access to the RedBookOnline.com, the industry’s most comprehensive and up-to-date online database of equipment, supplies and services for professional woodworking companies of all types and sizes.
Red Book Media Trifecta
In and of itself, the Red Book is also a multimedia resource for the industry, incorporating a searchable database of more than 2,000 manufacturer listings, 600 product categories and 23 product specification charts; weekly e-mail Alerts featuring targeted offerings of new equipment and supplies; and our revamped print product — the Red Book Illustrated Resource Guide.
For the first time ever, the Red Book Illustrated Resource Guide will go to the full circulation of both Wood & Wood Products and CWB magazines. An ambitious undertaking, it will feature articles on best practices for production as well as custom shops in the areas of: rough mill and solid wood machining, panel processing, finishing and sanding, laminating and pressing operations, components and assembly, plant production and software needs. Also included will be information targeted specifically to green manufacturing, as well as resource listings for manufacturers and distributors of woodworking equipment and supplies, industry-specific associations, education facilities and a comprehensive calendar of events.
Targeted Magazine
As the only industry magazine today to offer targeted editorial for production woodworking companies of all sizes and markets, we are cognizant of the fact that Wood & Wood Products continues to be a vital cog in our media hub.
In 2010 and beyond, the magazine will continue to provide best-practice case studies of the movers and shakers in the industry, highlight new technologies, plus offer business strategies for increasing your productivity and improving your profitability. The magazine will be moving to a nine-time format next year, including the Red Book, as we meet your needs through the increased frequency and scope of our digital products.
Expanded Digital Services
That’s not all we have available. As I stated previously, we are a multimedia network, and through our sister division, Vance Marketing Solutions, we also can provide full digital services, including: Web site design and development, search engine optimization, mobile marketing, Web analytics, online TV shows and more.
Wood & Wood Products — and Vance Publishing — are moving forward to ensure our place in the marketplace for 2010 and beyond.
