Architectural Woodworkers Tour Caldwell Cabinets

HUDSON, NC - Technology supplier Biesse sponsored a factory tour for the Architectural Woodworking Institute Carolinas Chapter on Friday, November 6, taking the group on tour of Caldwell Cabinets and its Caseworx line of custom cabinetry. Caldwell launched new products in January 2015 made possible by its new 20,000 square foot manufacturing plant in Hudson, North Carolina, filled with the latest technology and equipment.

Some of the equipment demonstrated during the plant tour included Biesse's Akron edgebander with Biesse’s AirForce hot air banding system, Skill G nested
based cell with automatic labeling, Cosmo case clamp and Elix K3 bore and dowel machinery.

After touring Caldwell Cabinets, the AWI chpater members returned to Biesse's Charlotte facility for a catered lunch and sneak peek of the new Biesse Group Campus, scheduled to open this month. The campus includes a new 22,800 square foot state-of-the-art showroom and new 6,000 square foot parts and components logistics area equipped with fully automated vertical storage systems that Biesse says will reduce the “from-order-to-pickup” time by  70 percent.

With a total square footage of over 66,800 square feet the Biesse Campus among the largest wood industry technology facilities in North America.
