European wood manufacturers say that after the excellent annual result in 2015 with an increase of 10.9% and in total over 100m EPAL pallets, 73.6m of which were newly produced EPAL Euro pallets, the upward trend is continuing in the first quarter of 2016.

In February 2015, the umbrella association of licensed producers and repairers of EPAL Euro pallets and box pallets, the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL), moved across Düsseldorf to its new office premises.

The European Pallet Association saw 66.3 million wooden pallets produced in 2014, a 3 percent increase in pallet production over the previous year.

The European Pallet Association e. V. (EPAL) has recorded a production of 66.3 million of EPAL euro pallets in 2014 which means a growth of 3% compared to the prior year.

A new wooden half pallet design uses less wood and will be more durable than other half pallets on the current market, the European Pallet Association announced.

The EPAL half pallet has been developed under the remit of being more robust and longer lasting than the current "Düsseldorfer" half pallet used on the market.

63.5 million EPAL Euro pallets have been produced in twelve months under the licence of the European Pallet Association (EPAL). The number of repaired wooden pallets stands at 21.5 million.
