More than 60 cabinets and bookcases are being built by Delmac Machinery Group during the AWFS Fair for donation to the Las Vegas Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The Habitat ReStores will sell the cabinets and bookcases and use the proceeds to build affordable housing for the community.
According to Gerri Yarbrough, marketing manager at Delmac, building furniture at the show not only helps demonstrate the capabilities of the companyâs machinery, but has the added benefit of providing a product that will be of use to the community when finished.
Delmac is partnering with other seven other exhibitors on the project: Funder, Hafele, Salice, Franklin Adhesives & Polymers, Chicago Dowel, Canplast and Freeman.
Delmac is a longtime supporter of the Greensboro Habitat for Humanity, and has made efforts to donate to local chapters in the cities in which it exhibits. The idea is the brainchild of Delmacâs General Manager John Park.
