ATLANTA, Ga. - At IWF 2016, Välinge presented its locking technology for furniture. The technology is called 5G-T and is based on the 5G locking system that has been used worldwide by licensees in the production of more than 900,000,000 m2 of flooring area. The technology is suitable for use with CNC-machines and through-feed machines, for small to very large mass-producing companies.

The booth featured a range of furniture that was used to demonstrate the ease and speed of assembly as well as the stability provided by the click furniture technology. The range also showed that the technology can be used with all kinds of machinable materials such as HDF, MDF, HPL, plywood, particle board, solid wood, WPC, plastic, aluminum, and more.

“We had many visitors representing manufacturers, dealers and big retailers but also private persons in our stand. They were all overwhelmed by the simplicity and functionality of 5G-T. One particularly appreciated feature was the exclusion of visible holes for fasteners etc., which opens up completely new design opportunities. Without a doubt, the market is ready to start using our technology,” says Hans Brännström, Director Furniture Technology, Välinge.
