LAS VEGAS - Biesse America presented a check for $12,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation during a special VIP/Make-A-Wish reception held during the recent AWFS Fair. The biennial woodworking show took place July 19-22 in Las Vegas.

Biesse hosted more than 700 people at the July 20 event, which the company said was an increase of more than 200 attendees than at its reception at IWF 2016 in Atlanta.

By doubling the amount of its initial check, from $6,000 to $12,000, the company said it is ensuring that two wishes will be granted to children with life-threatening illnesses. In addition, Biesse said it will donate $100 to Make-A-Wish for every machine sold at this year’s show.

This year’s AWFS total contribution to Make-A-Wish is anticipated to surpass last year’s donation at IWF, the company added.
