Trim a door frame using a router

Hello!
I have a small issue with my wooden cabine, which I hope you guys can help me solve. I'm new to woodworking so please accept my apology for the rather basic question.
Here is the thing: the door of the cabine doesn't close completely because there is not enough clearance between the door and the door frame (surface 'A' in the photo). My idea to solve it is to trim a little surface 'A' using a router, but I am not sure from which direction to do it and with which type of router bit. Is this a good approach? Any suggestion will be highly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
