A neighbor cut down a tree (eucalyptus) so I acquired some reasonable sized pieces. I am aware the eucalyptus is given to splitting as it dries. Is it better to saw green timber into half or quarter logs before seasoning to reduce the stress? Or is it better to season the whole log?
