ARCHDALE, N.C. — Evolving from six people drawing ductwork systems by hand to more than 140 team members operating in a sprawling 252,081-square-foot Archdale North Carolina facility, US Duct has come a long way since firing up its first welding torch in 2014. The company, a ductwork manufacturer with a beloved duck as its mascot, celebrated a massive facility upgrade and expansion with a company-wide steak dinner.
US Duct's used its milestone by throwing their annual Christmas Steak Lunch for the entire company in their massive new facility. “We didn’t buy our way here. We built it. Piece by piece. Customer by customer,” said Steve McDaniel, founder and owner of US Duct. “We worked our way to becoming the go-to American manufacturer for industrial ducting and dust collection systems. And I think we did exactly that.”
The new headquarters, the company says is better, faster, and smarter. US Duct has increased shipping capacity by increasing the number of shipping bays to 24, up from just three.
In addition, US Duct recently installed a state-of-the-art laser welder that can produce up to 1,000 pieces of tubing per day. “This new building means we can serve our customers faster and better than ever, and that’s what really matters,” said McDaniel.
As part of the upgrade, US Duct is also developing a state-of-the-art showroom to showcase its growing lineup of performance components and ductwork solutions. From clamp-together duct to its widely-respected dust collection systems, the showroom will give customers and partners a firsthand look at the engineering excellence behind the brand.
