BREA, Calif. – ICC Evaluation Service has issued its first formaldehyde emission listing as a third-party certifier under the Formaldehyde Emission Standards for Composite Wood Products Rule to Fuzhou Leifeng Building Material Co. Ltd of China.

ICC-ES is reported to be approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to certify that composite wood products sold, supplied, offered for sale, imported to or manufactured in the United States are compliant with the formaldehyde emission standards. All producers of composite wood panels are required to have their products certified by an EPA-recognized third-party certifier to ensure their products are compliant.

The ICC-ES services include product evaluation as well as product listings to standards within the International Codes and other codes in the nation. For more information about the ICC-ES Listing Program, see http://www.icc-es.org/listing/.
