Gunman in 2021 mass shooting at cabinet shop sentenced to life in prison

BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas — A Brazos County, Texas, jury sentenced Larry Bollin to life in prison and a $10,000 fine for the murder of Timothy Smith, a coworker of Bollin's when the 2021 mass shooting occured inside a cabinet shop. Bollin was convicted July 18 after a week-long trial. 

Bollin's rampage happened on April 8, 2021, at Kent Moore Cabinets. Bollin, according to reports, arrived at work with a handgun concealed in his lunch cooler. Following an afternoon break, Bollin pulled out the gun and fired at least 20 shots at Smith without warning, killing Smith and injuring four others. 

According to KBTX, the jury deliberated on sentencing for about an hour and a half on Monday, July 21. It took less than an hour to find Bollin guilty in the murder of 40-year-old Smith.

In addition to his life sentence, Bollin was also ordered to pay a $10,000 fine. He will be eligible for parole after 30 years served.
