Alphacam Says CAD/CAM Software Sales Rise 23 Percent

CAD/CAM developer Vero Software says Alphacam solutions for wood, metal and stone achieved record sales for tfirst half of 2015. The strong sales results - up 23% over the year prior - continue to come from the UK, USA, and the subsidiaries in Germany and Italy.

“Alphacam has set the record books alight this year with significant growth month-to-month throughout the first half of the year," said Nick Spurrett, Alphacam General Manager. Spurrett says May and June were "the best months on record for Alphacam.”

A new release, Alphacam 2015 R2, moved to 64-bit support, which the company says "will unlock the full potential of the PC by maximizing the memory use, irrespective of part size."

User efficiency continues to be a focus for product development with improvements to advanced 5-axis machining cycles, nesting functionality, and parent / child relationship support for multiple part management, with full associativity between the part master and its copy. Major graphic enhancements include improved part rendering and a new customizable radial menu wheel providing instant access to the most commonly used commands.

Alphacam, part of the Vero Software Group, is a CAM solution for wood, stone, composites and metal components from 2-axis through to 5-axis CNC programming applications. Vero sells and supports its products through direct offices in the UK, Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands, USA, Brazil, India, Japan, Korea and China, and through a global reseller network across more than 45 countries.
