fixing up and kid proofing a tabletop
My son and DIL would like me to fix up the dings and scratches on their dining room table top and put a "kid" proof protective finish on it. For the last part I think an oil base polyurethane would be the way to go. For repairing the scratches would buffing it with an auto body finish/scratch remover work? Taking the entire finish off and starting over probably won't work since the top is stained and I wouldn't be able to match the stain successfully.
Thanks!
