This year’s edition implements a modular program allowing participants to select their focus topic and have one or two days immersed in any of three specific areas: spray coating systems, roller coating and drying, overhead coating solutions.

Switching between classroom sessions to examine theoretical aspects and a hands-on laboratory experience to discover the many innovations present on a vast range of equipment, the IFS explores all processes and illustrates ways to address a market in constant evolution.

Covering the vast majority of finishing processes, the course also looks closely at the variety of substrates, lacquers and varnishes, examines opportunities to respond to an increasing demand for personalization, addresses such topics as process qualification and compliance testing, as well as the business-oriented benefits of Industry 4.0 service packs & software solutions.

Each year the Italian Finishing School is held at Cefla LAB, the world’s largest finishing laboratory located in Imola. Customers, lacquer and coating suppliers take part to test new coatings, experimenting new techniques and obtaining industrial results for the technologies recently developed for the global market. Participants will receive the IFS Diploma and can use the opportunity to discuss needs one-to-one with the sales team from host company Cefla.
