Components manufacturer Genesis Products announced it will invest $2.5 million to expand its operation into Charlotte County, VA, following its acquisition of the former Appomattox River Manufacturing Co. The move is said to create 150 new jobs and save 52 existing jobs in the area.

West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. (TSX:WFT) says it entered into an agreement to sell its Skeena Sawmills Division to ROC Holdings Ltd. The Skeena Sawmills Division includes the Terrace sawmill and related Crown timber tenures.
