DANBURY, Conn- Ethan Allen Interiors Inc. (NYSE: ETH), a leading American style and interior design authority currently celebrating its milestone 80th anniversary, continued its international expansion with the opening of Design Centers in Montreal and Brussels.

Located in the upscale Les Cours Mont-Royal shopping center at 998 Boulevard de Maisonneuve Ouest, the nearly 10,000-square-foot Design Center in Montreal opened on November 28th. The company launched its first-ever bilingual e-commerce website, ethanallen.ca, to coincide with the opening. Ethan Allen has had a presence in Canada for over a decade and plans to continue its expansion into other Canadian markets.

“As an UNESCO City of Design, Montreal made perfect sense for the expansion of a design-focused brand such as ours,” said Ethan Allen Chairman, President and CEO Farooq Kathwari. “We chose the Montreal location because it’s in the center of the city, where our clients shop, and because we believe that the style-seekers there will relate well to our luxury made affordable approach to interior design.”

Ethan Allen will also make its entry into the European market with a Design Center at Place Du Grand Sablon 37, Brussels, opening on December 7th. That Design Center will serve as a springboard for further expansion in Europe. The company will use its presence at January’s prestigious Maison y Objet trade show in Paris to generate excitement, build interest within the European design community, and draw potential partners. In 2013, the company will also launch a European website.
